Celebrating Charlie Kirk’s Birthday with Free Speech and Civic Engagement
In honor of Charlie Kirk’s birthday on October 14th, President Donald Trump awarded him a special commendation recognizing his unwavering commitment to constitutional values and youth empowerment. The celebration extended far beyond Washington, reaching grassroots communities across California, including a spirited gathering in San Jose.
A big thanks to Bass Pro- shops for allowing us to set up a “Prove Me Wrong” booth in front of their Almaden expressway store where we invited passersby to engage in open dialogue, ask tough questions, and debate pressing issues. The focus centered on two critical ballot measures, Prop 50 and Measure A. Attendees shared diverse perspectives, challenged assumptions, and exercised their First Amendment rights in real time. The atmosphere was electric and fun!
To mark the occasion, a formal proclamation was read aloud which has been submitted to the Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors and several city councils. The proclamation designates October 14th, Charlie Kirk’s birthday, as Freedom of Speech Day, honoring the foundational right that fuels civic discourse and democratic renewal.
This event embodied the spirit of grassroots activism and the enduring power of open debate. Happy birthday, Charlie, I hope we did you proud and here’s to many more Freedom of Speech Days to come.
