What Happens When You Have No Defense?

Why Breaking the Supermajority in the California Assembly Is the Most Important Thing We Can Do in 2026

In football, when the announcer yells “DE‑FENSE!”, everyone knows what’s at stake: You stop the drive, you stop the damage, you stop the other team from running the field on you.

California hasn’t had that in years.

With a supermajority in the State Assembly, one party can pass any bill, any tax, any mandate, no negotiation, no balance, no accountability. It’s like playing four quarters with no DE‑FENSE on the field at all.

And when you have no defense, you get steamrolled.

A democrat supermajority has caused:

  • Higher taxes and fees

  • Higher energy and utility costs

  • Higher housing costs

  • More regulations on families, workers, and small businesses

Living in California has become unaffordable and this is the reason people are leaving the state they love.

Sounds depressing right? But I have some good news that many people do not realize. We do not need to flip the whole state red to begin to turn this ship around. If we break the supermajority , which will mean flipping just 7 assembly seats, California finally gets something it hasn’t had in a long time:

A DE‑FENSE.

We need to hold the 20 seats we currently have and flip just 7 seats this November. With the supermajority gone, lawmakers must negotiate. They must justify their bills or Republicans can block them, and they must answer to the people again.

That means:

  • Stopping harmful legislation

  • Blocking new taxes and fees

  • Preventing policies that make life more expensive

  • Forcing real solutions on homelessness, crime, and affordability

It’s not about one party winning. It’s about Californians finally getting a voice. Just seven seats and California gets a total reset. If nothing changes, the supermajority keeps running the field untouched but if seven seats flip, the game changes instantly.

I’m running to be one of those seven seats to end one‑party rule, and restore balance and accountability in our state. But I can’t do it alone. If you believe the California Dream is worth fighting for, if you believe this state can rise, thrive, and shine again, then I need you with me. Together, we can bring back the hope, the opportunity, and the future every Californian deserves.

That’s why 2026 isn’t just another election.

It’s the year California finally gets its DE‑FENSE back.

I’m running for State Assembly to help restore balance and bring common sense back to California’s government. I believe in a future where families can thrive, small businesses can succeed, and opportunity is within reach for all. This is still a great state—and with the right leadership, we can make it more affordable, more accountable, and more hopeful for generations to come.
