America The Beautiful, And The World Is Finally Seeing It!

As World Cup teams and fans pour into the United States, something unexpected is happening, and it’s going viral. Visitors from every corner of the globe are discovering the everyday things Americans barely notice: free ice everywhere, blasting air‑conditioning, giant supermarkets, 24‑hour stores, friendly service, and a sense of ease and abundance that simply doesn’t exist in most places.

They’re filming it, laughing about it, singing along to American songs, and sharing it with millions back home. What we treat as ordinary feels extraordinary to them. And for once, the world isn’t mocking America. They’re delighted and they're loving it.

This is what happens when people finally see America up close, not through headlines, not through activists who make a career out of hating the country, but through real experience.

For the crowd that spends every waking moment tearing this country down, look around. People from Scotland, Brazil, Japan, Belgium, everywhere, are stepping off the plane and immediately noticing what you pretend not to see: comfort, freedom, opportunity, safety, abundance, and a culture that welcomes strangers with a smile.

For decades, America’s loudest detractors insisted the world hated us. But now the world is here, and they’re smiling, laughing, exploring, and celebrating the things that make this country special, with gratitude, something too many of our own critics have forgotten.

No, America isn’t perfect. No nation is.

But we are the greatest country in the world. The one people save for and risk everything to reach. Because only in America do we offer what so many countries still cannot. Freedom, liberty, opportunity, and the chance to dream as big as your heart can imagine.

America is still the hope of the world.

America is still the place people want to be.

And America is still the greatest nation on Earth.

God Bless America

Carol Pefley for California State Assembly District 28

I’m running for State Assembly to help restore balance and bring common sense back to California’s government. I believe in a future where families can thrive, small businesses can succeed, and opportunity is within reach for all. This is still a great state—and with the right leadership, we can make it more affordable, more accountable, and more hopeful for generations to come.
