Lavender and Politics-A Special Blend

In the heart of my garden, hundreds of lavender plants bloom in quiet harmony. Grosso, English, and Hidcote Blue varieties, each offering a distinct shade and scent. The fragrance is heavenly, a blend of calm and clarity that fills the air and reminds me that when we work hard and care for and nurture something, we will get a bountiful harvest.

This is my first year here in Morgan Hill and this lavender field was just planted a few months ago but I can already see that I will get some lovely bouquets and next week, I’ll be harvesting the plants and steeping lavender chamomile tea, simple rituals that ground me in the values I bring to this campaign: restoration, care, and connection. Just as these plants thrive when nurtured, so too can our state when we invest in families, fairness, and future-focused leadership.

California deserves equal representation for all of its residents and not just in policy, but in purpose. Let’s cultivate something better, together.

Carol Pefley for California State Assembly District 28

I’m running for State Assembly to help restore balance and bring common sense back to California’s government. I believe in a future where families can thrive, small businesses can succeed, and opportunity is within reach for all. This is still a great state—and with the right leadership, we can make it more affordable, more accountable, and more hopeful for generations to come.
