California’s Fork in the Road: Save It or Surrender It!!
This election, we’ve got a choice, a real one.
Do we fight to save what’s left of California, or do we hand the keys over to the socialist‑style planners who think freedom is optional, money is communal, and everyone should live stacked in government‑approved cubicles?
Do we keep our homes, our paychecks, our gas stoves, our water heaters, and our ability to turn on the lights without ration coupons? Because if you don’t vote, that’s the future you’ll be explaining to your kids.
Let's Jump on the time machine into the future:
Q: Mom, why do we live in a government‑issued cubicle the size of a walk‑in pantry?”
A: “Well sweetie, I was busy watching The View.”
Q: Daddy, “Why don’t we have a gas stove?”
A: “Oh, they took those. Along with my paycheck. (and my will to live.)"
Q: Grandma, “Why does the electricity shut off every afternoon?”
A: “Energy rationing. I didn’t vote because I was at Target touching throw pillows.”
Q: Grandpa, “Why are the bread lines longer than Disneyland?”
A: “Because I thought Election Day was next Tuesday.”
So if you're not voting, I hope you have some good excuses lined up. I can offer you this:
"I forgot to take my meds.” (But you remembered to rage‑comment on Facebook)
“My dog ate my ballot.” (Your dog also ate a sock, a flip‑flop, and a USB charger. He’s not the democracy threat here)
“I had to get boba.” (The boba line is 40 minutes. The polling place is 4. Math is not your friend)
At some point, the excuses stop being funny and reality sets in.
If you don’t vote, you’re not “staying out of politics.” You’re handing the steering wheel to whoever does show up and they’re not thinking about your paycheck, your home, your kids, or your future.
Show up. Or get used to explaining to your children why you didn’t!
