Where Are The Children? Will "Learing" The Truth Finally Change The Way Californians Vote?
Daycare fraud isn’t just a Minnesota and California problem anymore. Seattle is now showing the same pattern: Somali‑run home daycares pulling in huge taxpayer checks while the houses themselves look empty, neighbors call them scams, and operators get hostile the moment anyone asks a basic question. Reporter Katie Daviscourt’s investigation found more than $5 million flowing into just two neighborhoods. Some places were getting $30,000, $40,000, even $70,000 a month with no visible children anywhere.
Minnesota already lived this nightmare. Investigators there found daycares billing for kids who didn’t exist, millions in payments for services never provided, and money being funneled overseas. One center pulled in $4 million while appearing empty during repeated visits. It was industrial‑scale fraud, and everyone saw it coming except the people in charge. These are OUR tax dollars folks!
In California, just last month, twelve people in San Diego were arrested and charged for running “ghost daycares” that stole over $10 million in childcare subsidies. Federal investigators found that these operators submitted fake attendance logs, billed for children who never showed up, and in some cases weren’t even in the country while claiming they were providing childcare. More than 250 federal, state, and local law enforcement officers executed search warrants at 12 homes pretending to be daycare facilities. All 12 suspects were arrested in a coordinated takedown. The DOJ said these were “ghost daycare operations billing for children who were never present.” More of our hard earned money wasted on fraud!
The pattern is the same everywhere: home daycares with huge payouts, no activity, evasive operators, and a political climate where officials are terrified to investigate anything that might look uncomfortable. In fact, our elected officials are shielding these tax payer shake down operations. In California the legislature passed AB2624 which restricts and makes it a crime for journalists and citizens to investigate immigration-related organizations and possible fraud. So our "leaders" are actually standing in the way of finding waste, fraud and abuse of tax payer money. Let that sink in.
California’s elected officials keep protecting fraud, looking the other way while taxpayer money disappears, then turning around and demanding even more from us. When will Californians finally wake up and choose leaders who actually have our back instead of bleeding us dry?
